Character Mapping:
a guide to unearthing main characters for fiction writers

I designed this character workbook for fiction authors to unearth the background, motives, inner world, and character arcs of the protagonist and antagonist. The key is to do this before the writing begins. To know your characters is a way for the plot to organically unfold. Understanding what makes them tick because of their backgrounds and how they were raised (before the conflict begins) is a writers greatest tool in the craft of creating believable, relatable, and authentically human characters.
